Health and Safety
The safety and well-being of our employees are daily priorities in our forestry operations, the same as the production, the quality of our products and the respect for the environment. To this end, we are committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment.
Our goal is to maintain a workplace without any accidents and to prevent occupational diseases.
Management is committed to:
Take all the measures necessary to comply with the laws, regulations and all other directives on health and safety at work to protect the physical integrity of all our workers, contractors and visitors.
Ensure that the prevention of accidents and injuries is integrated into all aspects of the work environment:
- Developing the habit of working safely, and effectively communicating our expectations by providing the necessary training.
- By providing each employee the opportunity to engage and participate in the development and implementation of the Health and Safety Program.
Our policy concerning health and safety for all of our employees, contractor and visitors will be strictly enforced. Any person who violates this policy is subject to possible disciplinary action.
Local health and safety policy :
The health and safety Committee is composed of:
Two members representing the direction;
Two members representing workers.
Meetings of the Committee enable us to follow-up on the health and safety plan. They also facilitate the development of solutions to the issues raised in order to provide a safe workplace for all employees and stakeholders in Gestion Forestière Lacroix.
At these meetings, we also take the opportunity to update committee members on the progress of our environmental programs.
